November 23, we will celebrate Harvest Sunday with joint worship with the Korean Methodist Church. Following worship, we will share a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner–turkey and all the fixings! All are invited!!!
As we give thanks for our blessings on Nov. 23rd, we area accepting a Special Offering for the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County to assist them in their social justice work for the poor.
We are also collecting Food for the Food Room’s Thanksgiving Dinner assistance to those in need of food for themselves and their families—frozen turkeys up to 16 lbs and regular food stuffs for individuals and families.
Additionally, we are collecting funds and specific items for the CCC Interfaith Council’s Winter Nights Program during which Hillcrest and other faith communities provide warm shelter, meals, and other assistance to homeless families with children. Please call the church office (689-8260) for information on the particular items needed. Monetary donations are always welcome.
