Each year Contra Costa County conducts an annual homeless count with the help of the community…
By administering a point-in-time count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons living in Contra Costa County, there is a better understanding of the state of homelessness and better services, tailored to the needs of these vulnerable community members, can be provided.
This is a massive effort requiring hundreds of caring volunteers who are willing to help in three ways.
Multi-Faith A.C.T.I.O.N Coalition urges you to volunteer your services for this important activity.
- Volunteer to do the Count directly: Give 4 hours of your time to conduct a brief count survey at various sites around the County, as well as two hours of training time.
- Training: Sunday, Jan 25, 2-4 pm and Mon, Jan 26, 6-8 pm
- Count: Wed, Thurs, & Fri, Jan 28, 29, & 30.

- Donate needed emergency items: Bottled water, blankets, socks, hats, mittens, gloves, sleeping bags and toiletries.
