Hillcrest Members Help Pack Meals for “Rise Against Hunger”

Hillcrest Church members gathered with St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church members, Boy Scouts, and other members of the community on Saturday, October 28th to pack 10,000 meals to feed hungry people around the world who have been affected by war, natural disaster or other urgent needs.  Each individual bag feeds six food insecure individuals with a nutritious meal, meaning 10,000 bags will feed 60,000 people!

Rise against Hunger is a global grassroots global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.

Matthew 25 “Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?”  His answer, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.”
