As a church rooted in the community, we have many ministry partners beyond our denomination. The following partners, two of which have offices on our campus, foster understanding and cooperation among different religions, serve the under-served in our community, and advocate for social justice:
Interfaith Council of Contra Costa
The Interfaith Council of Contra County is an autonomous local organization overseen by its own Governing Board of Directors, with an advisory and consultative Elected Council of representatives, who are drawn from its 108 member congregations and organizations, and elected at the I4C annual meeting. The Governing Board meets monthly except August and provides leadership in the sacred work of the Council. With members of diverse faiths, gender and race, the Board builds and provides a sacred container that through its leadership, will nurture the growth towards a world of interfaith peace.
Winter Nights Family Shelter
Winter Nights Family Shelter protects homeless families by providing shelter in a clean, safe, and warm environment and to help them break the homelessness cycle by assisting them toward self-sufficiency and into stable housing.
Multi-Faith Action Coalition
The Multi-Faith Action Coalition represents some 50 faith communities across the county. Members work together to address the root causes of poverty through advocacy and public policy change; and providing food, shelter and other services make us strong voices for those in need.
