Faith & Race !!

Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm by Zoom

Read and discuss “Pre-Post Racial America: Stories from the Front Lines” by Rev. Sandhya Rani Jha. The book provides real peoples’ experiences with race issues and their faith, while offering examples of construction community action with deep biblical truths and deeply held beliefs.

Readings for this week 4/7 include chapters 10–“Dealing with the Grief of Racism in Real Time” and 11 (“‘But I don’t Think of You As…’: Navigating Mixed-Race Identity in a One-or-the-other World”), pages 122-135., but if you haven’t read that far, don’t worry! Our discussions use topics from the book, but are easily understood if you haven’t read the chapter(s) we discuss each week.
